Day 1
Arrival Arusha
Blues & Chutney CountryYou will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro by Zagas Explorer driver guide. Who will take you to the Blues & Chutney Country, This charming country home is situated in the foothills of Mt. Meru in lush green surrounding providing wonderful views towards the majestic mountain. Your guide will provide you with a safari briefing. Dinner included.
Day 2
Tarangire National Park
Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge (AD). Full board.Your Tour starts with the drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s fifth largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephants. Driving time without game viewing approx. - 2 hours. Overnight at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge (AD). Full board.
Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge (AD). Full boardAfter breakfast you drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippos and others. Driving time without game viewing approx. - 1 hour. Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge (AD). Full board
Day 4-5
Serengeti National Park
Overnight at Kisura Serengeti Camp (AD) Full boardFrom Lake Manyara you drive towards Serengeti, one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in the world. First you reach the Naabi Hill Kopjes (huge granite boulders) where you can go for a short walk. After lunch you continue on game drives all afternoon at the vast Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous game reserves worldwide and named after the ancient Masai word ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains. Enjoy game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. Day 6-7
Ngorongoro Crater
Overnight at Tloma Lodge (AD). Full boardEarly morning game drives at Serengeti followed by a visit at the hippo pools and the Seronera Visitors Center. After breakfast in the bush you proceed with game driving till afternoon before you return to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Day two, you will descend into the Crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch on the crater Floor. Ngorongoro Crater is often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. Day 8
Depart / Arusha
In the morning you visit the lively farmers market of Karatu before you travel back to Arusha and onwards to Kilimanjaro for departure (or extension). Driving time without game viewing – 2.1/2 hours. Breakfast included
