    Arrive at Entebbe airport. Your guide will be there waiting for you. Pick up and proceed to your accommodation. Airport Guest House, Breakfast

  • Day 2

    Entebbe - Mabamba - Entebbe
    Airport Guest House, Breakfast

    Early breakfast and transfer to Mabamba Swamp, a large and accessible wetland on the shores of Lake Victoria. This is one of the best places to see the Shoebill Stork. In the afternoon we visit the Botanical Gardens in Entebbe to see many beautiful bird species. Included: birding in Mabamba Swamp, birding in Botanical Gardens. Airport Guest House, Breakfast

  • Day 3

    Entebbe - Mabira Forest - Jinja - Kampala
    Lake Victoria View Guest House, Half Board

    Transfer to Mabira Forest, 65km east of Kampala. We spend the rest of the day birding in the Mabira forest, pausing for lunch at Jinja and visiting the source of the Nile. Transfer to Kampala afterwards. Included: birding in Mabira Forest, visit source of the Nile. Lake Victoria View Guest House, Half Board

  • Day 4

    Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park
    Pakuba Safari Lodge, Half Board

    Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Birding in Kaniyo Pabidi (Budongo Forest) in the afternoon. Afterwards we proceed to Murchison falls and spend the night on the shores of the Nile. Murchison Falls is one of the most beautiful national parks of Uganda. One of the main attractions is the Nile, with the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the whole Nile is forced through a narrow gorge and falls 60 meters. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards. Included: birding in Budongo Forest Pakuba Safari Lodge, Half Board.

  • Day 5-6

    Murchison Falls National Park

    Early game drives in the morning to see the large animals of Africa and also for birding. In the afternoon we make a boat trip on the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the falls. The boat is an ideal platform to make photos of the birds. Pakuba Safari Lodge, Half board.

  • Day 7

    Murchison Falls National Park - Hoima
    Hoima Cultural Lodge , Half board

    Early transfer to Budongo forest. Birding through the jungle. In the afternoon we drive to Hoima Town were we spend the night. Budongo Forest is also home of many butterflies and chimpanzees. Hoima Cultural Lodge , Half board

  • Day 8

    Hoima - Kibale Forest National Park
    Kibale Forest Camp, Half Board

    After breakfast we drive to Kibale Forest. You can make a walk through the forest around the lodge in the afternoon. It is also possible to make a night walk through the forest to see the animals of the night, like bush babies (both activities optional). Kibale Forest is a spectacular jungle, with 13 primate species! Chimps, baboons, black and white colobus, red colobus, grey cheeked mangabeys and L’Hoest’s monkey. Kibale Forest Camp, Half Board

  • Day 9-10

    Kibale Forest National Park

    Chimpanzee tracking in the morning or in the afternoon. Birding in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. It is also possible to visit the local people or the crater lakes (optional). Kibale Forest Camp, Half Board

  • Day 11

    Semliki National Park
    Rwenzori View Guest House, Half board

    Transfer to Semliki National Park. Visit the Sempaya Hot Springs and make a walk through the jungle for birding. Semliki is a unique place and the only lowland jungle in East Africa, part of the Congo eco system. Rwenzori View Guest House, Half board

  • Day 12

    Semliki National Park - Semliki Wildlife Reserve - Fort Portal

    Transfer to Semliki Wildlife Reserve for a Boat trip on Lake Albert. Transfer to Fort Portal afterwards. Semliki is an interesting area, partly forested and partly savannah. The shores of Lake Albert are well known to see the Shoebill Stork. Rwenzori View Guest House, Half board

  • Day 13

    Fort Portal - Queen Elizabeth National Park
    Kasenyi Safari Camp, Half Board

    Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we pass the equator where we will make a stop. Game drive for birding or optional guided walk on the Mweya Peninsula in the afternoon. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best places in Uganda to see lions. Expect to see elephants, lions, many hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and maybe leopards. Kasenyi Safari Camp, Half Board

  • Day 15-18

    Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    Birding through the park, leading to Maramagambo Forest. Transfer to Buhoma, Bwindi, in the afternoon. Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique jungle, with many monkey species. You will visit Ruhija, birding in this unique area, with a lot of Albertine endemics will allow you access to some of the most exotic birds Uganda has to offerGorilla Mist Camp, Half Board

  • Day 19-20

    Lake Bunyonyi
    Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort, Half board

    Birding in Mubwindi Swamp and after transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest and most beautiful lake of Uganda. We sleep on one of the beautiful islands. Possible activities: make a nature walk, go for a birding walk, go for canoeing, take a swim or visit the local community (all activities optional). Included: birding in Mubwindi Swamp.   • Day 21

    Lake Mburo National Park
    Lake Mburo Safari Lodge, Half board

    After breakfast we drive to Lake Mburo. Boat trip for birding on the lake in the afternoon. It is possible to do a night game drive with high chances of seeing leopards and nocturnal birds (optional activity). Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible.   • Day 22

    Depart for Entebbe

    Early morning game drive or games walk in Lake Mburo National Park. Transfer to the airport for your departure. Included: game drive or game walk

Booking Terms & Conditions

Basic guidelines to aid you as you plan to make your booking to travel to Africa on your Safari Expedition. This is not an exhaustive list, our Tour consultants are always standby to give you all the necessary guidance accordingly.

Booking Procedure

All applications for provisional or confirmed reservations are to be made by the Client by way of letter, facsimile or e-mail addressed to Zagas Explorer.
No reservation will be deemed made unless acknowledged and accepted in writing by Zagas Explorer. Provisional reservations will only be held for 14 days, after which the booking will be released. Please ensure the following information is included:

      » Date and time of arrival
      » Number of people and room requirement
      » Full names of client, and ages of children in the group (if applicable)
      » Any special requirements

Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled are charged as below:

      » Between 60 and 31 days prior to arrival a 25% cancellation fee will be charged.
      » Between 30 and 15 days prior to arrival a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
      » Between 14 and 0 days prior to arrival a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
      » Cancellation fees are calculated on the rate per person and on the total value of the Reservation made.

Rates

All amounts are denominated in US Dollars and payments must be made in the nominated currency. In the case of any future increases in fuel, currency fluctuations, component costs or government taxes, Zagas Explorer reserves the right to renegotiate the rates. Conservancy fees are mandatory and will be included in the invoice.

Deposit Requirements

A refundable deposit of 30% is to be received by Zagas Explorer within 7 working days from date of confirmation. The final balance of 70% of the total value of the reservation(s) will be payable at least 30 days prior to the guests arrival.

Refunds

Should any client arrive late or request an early departure, no refund will be granted. Whilst Zagas Explorer will ensure that all anticipated accommodation will be available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature against Zagas Explorer for a refund, either in part or whole, if any accommodation and or excursion is unavailable and a reasonable alternative was found – or if guests were unable to make use of the service for any reason.

Insurance

All guests should take out comprehensive insurance cover when paying their confirmation deposit, to cover them for cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, personal baggage, emergency evacuation back home and money.

Disclaimer

This agreement is made subject to and shall be governed and construed according to the laws of Tanzania. Neither Zagas Explorer, nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the foregoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omission contained in the brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, injury or death whether occasioned by negligence or not. In addition, the company shall have the right at any time at its discretion to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or other detail and in the event of any tour being rendered impossible, illegal, or inadvisable by the weather, avalanches, strike, war, government or interference or any other causes whatsoever. The extra expense incurred as a result thereof shall be the responsibility of the passenger.

The company may, at its discretion and without liability or cost to itself, at any time cancel or terminate the passenger's booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the foregoing, it shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or the illegal or incompatible behavior of the passenger, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.

Please be aware that these safaris may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African Wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur. Neither the company, nor its employees, nor its agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari.
